Henry Malueg

Tenor Henry Malueg (he/him) is an emerging artist from Madison, Wisconsin, and is currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In May, Henry will be seen as Normanno in Opera Magnifico’s production of Lucia di Lammermoor. Later this summer, he will join the Seagle Festival as an emerging artist where he will be performing the roles of Don José in Carmen and as the Ship’s Captain in Anything Goes.

Henry is a 1st year MM Voice Performance student at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance where he is under the titulage of Dr. Kathryn Leemhuis. In his first year there, Henry was seen as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni; Dante Rossetti in a workshop of the new musical, Goblin Market, by Jesse Hampsch; and as Le Héraut in Cendrillon where he also sang in the chorus and covered the role of Les Surintendent des Plaisirs. He also performed scenes by Heggie, Offenbach, and Bizet in their Opera Workshop Scenes productions.

In the summer of 2024, Henry was an emerging artist with the Bay View Music Festival in Petoskey, Michigan. While there, Henry performed the role of Motel in Fiddler on the Roof and sang in the chorus of La Cenerentola.

During the summer of 2023, Henry performed Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte with the Harrower Summer Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia.

Later that year, Henry received his Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he studied under Dr. Kenneth Pereira. Through the University, Henry was seen as Orpheus in Orpheus in the Underworld; the Tenor Soloist for Mozart’s Missa Brevis in G Major in concert; Olive’s Dad, and the Male Understudy, in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Mr. Toad in John Rutter’s Wind in the Willows, and Macheath in The Threepenny Opera. He also performed in numerous scenes by Donizetti, Gounod, Mozart, Weill, and Bologne while there as well.
