18th Annual Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts Fine Arts and Crafts Fair

Friday, November 17: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday, November 18: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 30, 5PM

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists and crafts persons that exhibit original fine arts and crafts. Fine art and fine craft, for the purpose of this exhibition, are defined as:

FINE ART: Original, creative, beautiful work that is pushed out of the realm of functionality other than to provide the function of pure aesthetic. Technique may be refined or raw, and success of technique depends on how well it suits the piece or body of artwork.

FINE CRAFT: Work that is functional, beautiful, well-made with few or seemingly no defects or flaws which inhibit the technique. A craft, in essence, is fully handmade, original, and creative toward its function. Crafts, unlike art, can also be judged based upon feel, comfort, and durability. Kits, molds, and pre-assembled goods will not be considered for acceptance.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Exhibitors for the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts Fine Arts and Crafts Fair will be based upon quality of work submitted. If you are chosen, you will be notified via mail around August 1, 2017.

The following items must be submitted electronically:
  • Completed application form.
  • Artist statement and brief description of work.
  • FOUR photographs (jpg format, 300 ppi) of current work, including photo list
     with title, medium, size, price, and date completed.
  • ONE photograph of indoor booth display (jpg format, 300 ppi).
  • Entry fee.

ENTRY FEE: $150

DEADLINE: Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on June 30, 2017.
Late applications will not be considered.
